Bio

Canada’s top ranked boxing athlete, Troy Ross, is a Canadian role model inside and outside of the ring. He is a two time Olympic boxer (1996, 2000) and is currently the Commonwealth and 2009 Contender Cruiserweight Champion.

Boxing prowess runs in the Ross family. His father,Charles Ross, represented his native Guyana at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. His eldest brother, Shawn, fought as a professional and his cousin is Egerton Marcus - Canadian Winner at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Troy continues his family's legacy with a successful professional fighting record of 23-1 (15 KOs).

Troy's boxing career has lead him toward a career in acting. He has landed major acting roles on television and in films such as:
* Cinderalla Man, starring Russell Crowe, in which he played the legendary boxer John Henry Lewis.
* Resurrecting the Champ, starring Samuel L. Jackson, playing the ‘Young (Samuel) Champ”.
* The Phantom Punch, starring Ving Rhames, where he played Floyd Patterson.
